Diabetes Management

Who should attend?
If you have questions or concerns about self management of type 2 diabetes and have seen your family doctor or family nurse in your clinic, you may benefit from meeting one of our Certified Diabetes Nurse Educators.  Together with your primary care provider and the diabetes nurse educator can help you develop a personalized plan to manage your diabetes with insulin or other medications, and make recommendations for changes in your lifestyle and eating habits

Program Format:
One hour appointment at the Red Deer Primary Care Network office

How do you access this service?
You will need a referral from your RDPCN primary care provider.

If you are already seeing a RDPCN psychologist, mental health counsellor, recreation therapist or pharmacist you can ask them about a referral.

Your commitment:
Bring your list of questions and concerns and be ready to make a plan for positive change.
