Grief Support After Pregnancy or Infant Loss

Program Format:
Individual appointment and/or H.E.A.R.T.S. peer support group

Who should attend?
Individuals who are grieving the loss of a baby – whether during pregnancy, at birth, or shortly after.  This kind of loss can be painful and often feels isolating. We are here to support you through this incredibly difficult time.
An intake interview will be completed, and you will be provided information about upcoming H.E.A.R.T.S. peer support group if it is determined to be a good fit for you.

We offer:

  • One-on-one support tailored to your needs
  • H.E.A.R.T.S. (Helping Empty Arms Recover Through Sharing) – peer support group
  • A lending library with books that provide validation, encouragement, and hope.

How do you access this service?

  • You can be referred by your RDPCN primary care provider or,
  • If your primary care provider is part of the RDPCN you can self-refer by calling 403.314.3297.
  • If you are already seeing a RDPCN Nurse, Psychologist, Mental Health Counsellor, Recreation Therapist or Pharmacist you can ask them about a referral.
